Once upon a time life was a bit chaotic. In the midst of this barrage of boredom, I read a review of a lens, in which the manufacturer said something along the lines of their intention being to make the absolute best normal lens regardless of size, weight and price. The lens also turned out to be incredibly large, heavy, expensive and with measurements that beat everything else.

Shortly afterwards, I was leafing through another magazine and found a comparison between this O.M.G.-lens and another lens, with the same focal length and aperture, made by another manufacturer. The result of the comparison, a thorough test in a lab with all kinds of measuring equipment, was a narrow victory for the large, heavy and expensive lens, detected only through the lab measurement results and not by the eye.

I bought the cheaper lens, which was still quite expensive, as a way of consoling myself.
Yes?! Didn’t you know?!!? That’s what we guys do when we’re not feeling 100%.

Back home, with the expensive, high-quality lens in hand, I mount it on a camera body (precisely – reasonably good, heavy and expensive camera body) and get out to do a test shoot. How did I performed the test shooting? For example, and here it comes, I moved the camera wildly and zooming during the exposure time. Perhaps I also did this while I was screaming, I don’t recall.
